Help Your Food Help You: Stop to Read the Label

You’ve made the better choice to eat yogurt for breakfast rather than some fast-and-easy toaster waffles … but have you turned the package around to read all of the ingredients? The front of the box may claim “nutritious, sustained energy,” but the food label on the back tells the real story!

Not sure what we mean? Take a look at the label of that protein bar you might eat before heading to the gym or as a mid-afternoon snack. If it has more sugar and sodium than fiber and protein – then it’s really just a cookie in disguise. Sugar deception!
